LumeServe turns a folder on your computer into a web page. Press Start, scan the QR code with your phone, and browse or download over your own Wi-Fi.

Files Never Leave Your Network No Account Required Works in Any Browser No Cables

What LumeServe does

Everything you need to hand files between your own devices, and nothing you don't.

📂

Share any folder

Pick a folder and it becomes a clean, tappable file list in any browser. Only that folder is visible — the rest of your computer stays out of reach.

📱

Scan and go

Every address your computer answers on gets its own QR code and copy button, so you never have to guess which one your phone can actually reach.

🔒

Password when you want it

Set a password and visitors are asked for it before they see a single file name. Leave it blank on a network you trust.

📊

Live access log

Watch requests arrive as they happen: what was opened, which device asked, how large it was, and whether it finished.

🛜

Stays on your network

Nothing is uploaded. There is no cloud service and no internet connection needed — just the Wi-Fi your devices already share.

⚙️

Ready next time

Remembers your last folder, port and password, can open the browser on start, and can keep the computer awake through a long transfer.

How it works

Three steps, about ten seconds.

1

Choose a folder

Pick the folder you want to share, and set a password and port if you need them.

2

Press Start

LumeServe lists every address your computer is now reachable at, each with a QR code.

3

Open it anywhere

Scan from your phone or type the address on another computer, then browse and download.

Questions

The things people usually want to check first.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Files are served straight from your computer to the other device over your local network. LumeServe has no cloud service and no server of ours involved at any point.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. You only need a network that both devices are on — home Wi-Fi, an office network, or even a phone hotspot. It works with the internet completely disconnected.

Does the other device need the app installed?

No. Anything with a web browser works: iPhone, Android, iPad, another Windows or Mac laptop, even a smart TV. There is nothing to install and no account to create on either side.

Can people outside my network reach my files?

Not by design. LumeServe shares only on your local network. It does not open your router to the internet and does not set up any kind of remote access.

What can visitors actually see?

Only the folder you selected and what is inside it. Files elsewhere on your computer are not reachable, and shortcuts pointing outside the shared folder are refused rather than followed.

What happens when I close the app?

Sharing stops immediately. The folder is only reachable while LumeServe is running and the server is started — closing the window ends it, as does pressing Stop.

I forgot the password I set. What now?

Nothing is lost. The password only guards the current share, not your files. Open LumeServe, type a new one, and start the server again.

Does it cost anything?

LumeServe is free on the Microsoft Store. There is no subscription, no trial timer and no locked features.
